Practice Areas

Maryland

We offer services across Maryland, including Frederick, Montgomery, Prince George's and other counties.

Traffic Offenses

There are two types of traffic violations in Maryland, which are payable and must appear. Although most traffic offenses are misdemeanors, it can still carry penalties such as fees, jail time, and possible license consequences.

Drug Crimes

The penalties of drug-related offenses vary depending on various factors, such as the type of drug, and the amount of a given drug. Even on a first offense, the penalties can be harsh.

Assault/Battery

Assault and Battery can be committed in different ways. Additionally, it can be considered more dangerous if a weapon is involved. Although people often think of guns and knives as weapons, there are other items that can be considered a weapon.

Restraining Orders/Domestic Abuse

Often you may hear that someone is arrested for domestic violence solely on another person's word and possible visible injuries. This means that people can be arrested for false accusations of domestic violence. As a result, it is important to have a criminal defense attorney who will rebut those allegations.

Homicide/Murder

There are different types of homicides, which involves significant penalties such as life imprisonment. However, there are defenses and possible strategies that a criminal defense attorney can use for the different types of homicides.

Other Criminal Law Matters Are Available

There are numerous other crimes that we can help with that are not listed above. Regardless of the type of crime, there can be other collateral consequences that are often not talked about by most attorneys, such as voting rights, licensing, employment, and other important areas of a person's life. Feel free to call or email us for a free consultation! We will zealously advocate for you and your goals.

The IMPORTANCE OF HAVING A ZEALOUS CRIMINAL DEFENSE ATTORNEY

Zealous Advocacy

Many attorneys will make false promises, as well as not communicate with clients about their legal matter. From personal experience, I dealt with attorneys who were greedy and inconsiderate about their client's needs. This personal experience made me not want to become one of those attorneys. As a result, I will zealously advocate for each and every single one of my clients to ensure that their goals are met. You do not want someone who talks the talk, but can't walk the walk.

DO NOT TALK TO THE POLICE

As the presence of social media has grown, you may have seen videos on what to say to a police officer if you are pulled over, whether it is a traffic stop or on the street. It is important to not talk to the police unless you have an attorney present. The police can lie to you, and use your statements against you if you do not have an attorney present. REMEMBER to invoke the fifth if you are not free to leave. This is why it is important to ask the officer if you are free to leave. If you are not free to leave, you must EXPRESSLY invoke your fifth amendment right. Staying silent does NOT invoke your fifth amendment right. However, saying "I invoke the fifth," will.
